Subscription can be done at any of our branches. 

Registration on Chapaa Popote is available for any customer who holds an account with Transnational Bank and is a registered M-PESA subscriber. Subscription can be done at any of our branches. Once registered, the customer will receive an SMS containing the Transnational Bank Chapaa Popote PIN. Chapaa Popote services include:

1. Banking
2. M-pesa
3. Airtime Purchase
4. SMS Transaction Alerts
5. Utility Payments
6. Customer Service

1. Banking

Select 1 to access banking services and follow the instructions to access below services:

  • Select 1 for Balance Inquiry
  • Select 2 for Mini Statement
  • Select 3 for Funds Transfer
  • Select 4 for PIN Change

2. M-pesa

Select 2 to access M-PESA services and follow the instructions to access below services:

  • Select 0 for Bank to M-PESA funds transfer
  • Select 1 for M-PESA to Bank to funds transfer

3. Airtime Purchase

Select 3 to access Airtime Purchase facility and follow the instructions to purchase the required amount of airtime.
(This is only available for Safaricom lines)

SMS Transaction Alerts

Transaction alerts are sent via SMS on the basis of the transaction alerts that were applied for by the customer when signing up for TNB Chapaa Popote as per the Customer-defined transaction amount thresholds. These alerts include:

  • Large Credit
  • Large Debit
  • Daily Account Balances

A customer can apply for change of alert amount thresholds or to stop an existing transaction alert service.
